Division 1 side too strong for Classics FC
28 January 2011

Three goals in the first half put First Division side River Plate Bidnija Futsal Club on their way to a comfortable passage to the Quarter Finals of the Knock Out competition at the expense of Classics FC on Tuesday night. The team ends its impressive KO run after eliminating two Division 2 sides in the previous rounds.

There was no doubt on who would emerge victorious from this match. However, Classics FC almost took a surprise lead when Y. Lee was put clear but his shot was well saved. The Division 1 side’s three goal first half margin gave them a firm stranglehold and their cause was further aided by another three goals in the second half. However, Classics FC managed a fine second half performance and a consolation goal through A. Caruana.

This defeat ended a club record seven positive results in all competitions. Classics' next official commitment is the league game against Paola Stars in a month’s time.
